Downtown Autogroup (DAG) is a collection of 11 automobile sales and service facilities representing 12 of the most respected brands in the automotive world.
Founded by Shahin Alizadeh in the early 90s, it employs over four hundred Torontonians. The operations are predominantly in the downtown core of Toronto. As densely as downtown Toronto’s population is, we believe it is still a very closely-knit community with its own characteristics and nuances, thus giving us a very specific mandate in terms of addressing the needs of the area.
In mid 2019, DAG will launch what is essentially an urban blend of automotive retail facilities within a residential setting. The “Autoplex” as its been dubbed, will combine 7 of our brands along with some 900 residential condominium units in downtown Toronto’s Riverdale neighborhood. This North America first concept has been referred to as a “Game Changer” when it comes to the future of auto retailing.
Being located in the heart of Toronto, it is also important that we also play a role in helping the community. As such, we currently support a number of initiatives, including the new Michael Garron Hospital, The Covenant House and YWCA’s Women’s Shelter program.
