Understanding Your Hyundai's Service Schedule
Hyundai's maintenance program is built around four service types, each covering a different set of inspections and procedures. As your vehicle accumulates kilometres, these services rotate on a structured schedule to ensure every system gets the attention it needs at the right time.
Hyundai Service Schedule #1 — Every 6,000 km
Hyundai Service 1 is the most frequent visit and forms the foundation of your Hyundai’s maintenance routine. At this interval, our technicians will:
- Replace engine oil and filter
- Inspect all interior and exterior lights
- Inspect tire pressure
- Check coolant, battery, and washer fluid levels
- Inspect and lubricate all latches, hinges, and locks
Hyundai Service Schedule #2 — Every 12,000 km
Hyundai Service 2 includes everything in Service 1, plus additional checks to keep your tires, brakes, and drivetrain in top shape.
Includes all Service 1 items, plus:
- Rotate tires
- Add fuel treatment
- Inspect all drive belts
- Inspect brake pad and shoe thickness
- Inspect calipers and wheel cylinders for proper operation
- Inspect driveshaft and boots
Hyundai Service Schedule #3 — Every 24,000 km
Hyundai Service 3 is a more comprehensive visit that includes everything in Service 1 and introduces a full brake inspection, fluid checks, and a review of key underhood and undercarriage systems.
Includes all Service 1 items, plus:
- Perform front and rear brake service
- Inspect parking brakes
- Rotate tires
- Perform throttle body service
- Service battery terminals
- Inspect all drive belts
- Inspect engine coolant
- Inspect automatic/manual transaxle fluid
- Inspect brake hoses and lines
- Inspect exhaust pipes and muffler (after manifold)
- Inspect vacuum and crankcase ventilation hoses
Hyundai Service Schedule #4 — Every 48,000 km
Hyundai Service 4 is the most thorough interval in the rotation, combining all Service 1 and Service 3 checks with a complete review of your Hyundai’s filters, cooling system, steering, suspension, and fuel system.
Includes all Service 1 and Service 3 items, plus:
- Replace air filter
- Perform cooling system service
- Inspect brake fluid, hoses, and lines
- Inspect suspension components, including shocks, struts, links, and bushings
- Inspect steering gear box, linkages, boots, and ball joints
- Inspect driveshaft and boots
- Inspect transfer case and rear differential fluid level (AWD models)
- Inspect automatic/manual transaxle fluid
- Inspect fuel lines and hoses
- Inspect vapour hose and filler cap
